The Fender Buck Owens Kingman pays tribute to one of the pioneers of the Bakersfield sound. Known as the co-host of the popular '60s and '70s TV show 'Hee Haw', Buck Owens has rocked many-a six-string with a red, white and blue paint-job, so naturally, this Artist Signature Series model has the same iconic design, honouring one of the first acoustic guitarists that Fender ever endorsed.
The Buck Owens Kingman: You're For Me
The dreadnought body of this singular electro-acoustic guitar features Fender's Performance X bracing which, combined with the solid spruce soundboard and solid mahogany back and sides, gives rise to rich yet defined sound backed up by excellent projection. Other sweet perks include a modern C-profile neck and a 6-in-line, paint-matched headstock that comes adorned with logos inspired by Buck's own guitars.
Above and Beyond
Fender has equipped the Buck Owens Kingman with a Fishman Presys VT Plus preamp, an internal body transducer and an undersaddle piezo pickup — the perfect electronic loadout for natural, versatile amplified acoustic sound that can be effortlessly tweaking via in-soundhole controls. The included custom, vintage-style hardshell guitar case serves as the fitting cherry on top.

This is a very nice guitar with a natural open sound. You have to be into the whole style of this model but if this is your thing, it’s a great choice. Build quality is excellent. The twin blendable pickup system works very well. It’s a bit unhandy the way you have to loosen the strings to replace the battery but it’s doable. The case is also very well made and will protect the guitar well.
